Distinguised guests were the Governor of Central Province, British Council Country Director, commonwealth Games President of SL, Secretary of MOE and Officials from the Department of Education.The original baton arrived to Ranabima Royal and it was displayed for 2 hrs .Our children were lucky enough to touch the baton and take some memorable photoes.
We displayed our Partner Schools and Connecting Classroom Programme details, Queen's Baton presentations and informations of our school in our stall.We were fortunate to represent Sri Lanka at this special event.Naazira Firaz of grade 4T was the winner of baton creation and presentation competing with other five schools.
The Mahmudians played a major role in the event. They got the opportunity to compere and to present the Commonwealth and its values.We are looking forward to work on the Commonwealth Connections Projects along with SL and Birmingham Cluster.
